The Republican Party of Hopkins County is a branch of the Republican Part of Texas (RPT). We exist to promote conservative Republican values; to educate Hopkins County residents about those values and the opportunities for involvement available to them; and, most of all, to build and maintain a strong foundation for the future of our children, of our county, state and nation.

In all our efforts we stand with this nation's Declaration of Independence in affirming without reservation that: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.— That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..." It is our resolution to stand firmly on the principles upon which our nation and our state were founded, and to hold our leaders and elected representatives accountable for doing the same; notwithstanding that such should be done in a spirit of humility, of cooperation where possible, and not in the "spirit of party" so strongly warned against by Pres. George Washington in his Farewell Address.
